Orchha means "hidden place", situated 16 kms from Jhansi in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is well known for its excellent architecture with traditionalism with modernity. It was founded in the 16th Century by the Bundela Rajput, Rudra Pratap. The city became the capital of the Bundelas in the year 1531. Today Orchha is known for its palaces and temples built during Bundelas period.


Orchha is famous for temples like Raja Ram Temple, the Chathurbhuj and the Laxminarayn temple. Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal, Rai Parveen Mahal, Phool Bagh and Dinman Hardaul's Palace are a must visit.
Best season to visit is October-March.

Gwalior is the nearest airport connected with Delhi, Bhopal, Indore amd Mumbai. Jhansi is the nearest railway station. All major mail and express trains stop at Jhansi. Regular bus services connect Orchha with Jhansi.

Panchmarhi - is an ideal hill resort and a perfect holiday destination in Madhya Pradesh.. It lies in the Satpura Ranges, at an altitude of  1,100m.

Catholic Church, Christ Church, Satpura National Park, Bison Lodge, Pandav Caves, Priyadarshini, Handu Khoh, Mahadeo are holiday attractions in Panchmarhi.

Pandav caves is a must visit at Panchmarhi, as it is believed that Pandavas have resided in these thousand year old caves during their exile. Now these caves are protected monuments. Satpura National Park is a must visit for animal lovers. Bear, Tiger, Bison, Deer, Leopard are the animals you can spot.

Panchmarhi experiences cool and pleasant weather, throughout the year. Ideal time to visit is from March - May and October-November. Accomodation is easily available, as you have Cottages, Holiday Homes, Huts and several rest places, for people of all budgets.

Dhupgarh, the highest peak of the Satpuras with an altitude of 4429 ft  is 10 km distant from the town; is the best place to view sunrise and sunset.

Shivratri Mela is held on the occasion of  "Shivrathri" at Mahadev temple, which is 10km from Panchmarhi.
